With its unusual deck saloon concept, the Sirius shipyard on Lake Plön has been cultivating unique selling points on the market for many years and is also showing unconditional loyalty to the line with its latest concept. The 40 DS is now Sirius' largest ship. The prototype is currently being finalised and is expected to be launched for the first time in August.

The new flagship will be able to top the already highly customised range of its smaller sisters (Sirius 310 / Sirus 35 DS). The 40 DS will be built according to the customer's individual wishes as part of a semi-custom concept. At least ten different basic variants are planned for the interior layout alone, with one, two or three separate double cabins and up to three washrooms.

The speciality of Sirius is the owner's cabin installed under the raised saloon with large polycarbonate hull windows, although these are only available on request. Traditionally, the Sirius interior concept also includes a walk-in workshop. The saloon forms the actual centre of the Sirius 40 DS with a large U-shaped sofa, which can also be used as an additional double berth thanks to the lowerable saloon table. The large superstructure windows ensure unrestricted all-round visibility. The boat can also be steered under engine power from the navigation area.

A total of six different keel variants with fixed keel and lead bulb, with dry-drop suitable bilge keels or with a hydraulically recoverable swivelling keel provide even more variance. Numerous different rig realisations are also possible, depending on the customer's wishes. The standard rig is a 2-saling mast and a self-tacking jib. Alternatively, a wide overlapping genoa is also possible for light wind areas.

The Sirius 40 DS will be launched with the usual extensive basic equipment at a price of 484,800 euros (incl. VAT). The world premiere is then planned for the Southampton Boat Show in England in September.
